Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Game For Pc
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Gameplay Review
What I like about the hot pursuit is that it fully embraces the madness of adolescence and just walks with it. There is no story line. You can play as a policeman or a racer, and when you run people off the road, roam the corners, drive in oncoming traffic (as a racer), and usually a motoring lunatic By behaving like you increase your rank or desired level. Along the way, you'll find Bounty to unlock new cars, expand your weapons / gadgets, and unlock new sections of the Seacrest County map. The more you drive, crash, break and win, the better. It's easy, and it works. It's not a racing sim, but cars have their own personality. The Bentley SuperSport, for example, is primarily a leather seat tank. But it handles surprisingly well, making it a great choice for pursuit events where racers have to be submitted as a police officer. If you are entering an interceptor event where it is only against a single clever racer who is responsible for constant U-turns and shortcut maneuvers, you will be better off in something light and vibrant, like the spectacular. Pagani Zonda Cinque.
Hot Pursuit is not a car collecting game. Although you can unlock vehicles as you proceed, there is no real garage to talk to. The focus is on driving these cars, not on upgrading, building or painting them. But that's fine because the list of cars in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit reads like a billionaire's Christmas list. And this is just a sample. Criterion has created a racing scene that feels alive. Traffic (all licensed vehicles) comes and goes, airplanes keep flying as you drive, the effects of the weather are realistic and dramatic, and the buildings along the roads look very real. Go into Freedrive mode, and you can get into any car you have unlocked and the only tool around Secrest County. As you drive, the weather will come and go, the sun will rise and set, and the world will revolve in the same way.
Freedrive does not affect your carrier, so any damage you do to your car will be a slide (if you choose). This is a great way to put your car's fully staged screenshots into practice. Unfortunately, there's no way to access Seacrest County's overmap while in Freedrive mode, so you'll have to rely on your own little map to explore the landscape. It's a bit of a disappointment in an otherwise good addition. Another disappointment - the PC version of Hot Pursuit does not have mouse support. No big deal, but if you were planning to play with the mouse and keyboard, well, you have to stick with the keyboard. A game controller is really the way to go, though, and the PC version of Hot Pursuit worked with the Xbox 360 gamepad swimming.
But most of your time will probably be spent in career mode. Unlike Criterion's last attempt, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is not an open world game. You will not accidentally drive in your race car or police car waiting for something to happen or trigger it with your car. Hot Pursuit's single player mode is more focused than Burnout: Paradise. To start the event, you'll select a marker on the Sext County map and bring up a list of available events. Choose the one that suits you best, and you'll be taken to the event after a short (and skip) cut scene. And there's no deciding which side you'd like to be on - you can switch between police and racer events at will. These events are Hot Pursuit meat and potatoes. As a racer, you'll have access to a handful of different basic events, all of which you try to get from one place to another faster than anyone else. Sometimes one or two cops will chase you. The second time you will only be against other racers. And if you need a break from the intensity of these events, there are also time trials that are just you and the clock. As a police officer, your main goal is to stop these illegal street races.
The concept of the need for speed: A hot school suit could have been dreamed of at a middle school boy's sleepover party. What if there was a place where both police and illegal street racers drove Lamborghini, Mercedes, Bentley, porches and other drum-wielding trails at breakneck speed around a huge network of roads? Oh, and wouldn't it be nice if they collided with each other and dropped the spike strips and called in the helicopter and chased each other off the road. And when you hit someone, it should fall at a very slow speed and give you a ton of points!
